Photowalk this Saturday, May 14th.
Posted on May 10, 2011
We are having a photowalk this Saturday, the 14th of May. We will be meeting in Memorial Park in Appleton at 10:00. We will hopefully have some new flowers blooming. We can go to other locations from there if anyone has any ideas. Very informal, and as usual, totally free. Bring whatever camera you have and just have fun.

Nick and Bonnie
Posted on May 1, 2011
We had a great time yesterday filming our last official wedding. Nick and Bonnie were great. I don’t think Bonnie stopped dancing all night. We quit shooting video after the special dances and spent the rest of the night taking pictures. Nicks dad is our video partner. His company is going to shoot all future weddings and we are going to do the editing.

Photo walk 2011
Posted on April 23, 2011
Our first ever Photo Walk went very well. We shot some interesting pictures at a very old cemetery, and then to the flats area. It went as I had hoped. We all shared things with each other and learned new things. We really want to stress that this is meant to be a learning experience. We are also encouraging people to bring smart phones for getting shots. We will be trying to do these every month.

April Snow Storm
Posted on April 20, 2011
I know we are way beyond thinking how beautiful a fresh snowfall can be, but as a photographer, I could not help myself and see what kind of images I could capture. Having said that, it is time to move on with some beautiful spring photographs.

Photo Walk Saturday April 23
Posted on April 18, 2011
We are excited to announce our first ever photo walk. We will be meeting in City Park in Appleton at 10:00 am. We have a couple of interesting locations to shoot at. One of the things we are most excited about is the sharing of knowledge. So even if you don’t know anything about photography you should be there. Camera brands don’t matter. We hope this will be the first of many photo walks.

YMCA Youth in Government Program
Posted on April 15, 2011
This video is the latest project that I completed for the YMCA of the Fox Cities. It was shot using the Canon 5d Mark II, using the 24-70 lens. I also shot it all on a tripod with everything mounted on a Zacuto rig with follow focus and a Z-Finder. YMCA Youth In Government, or YIG (also known as YMCA Youth and Government, or YAG) is a YMCA civic engagement and service-learning program in the United States that offers both high school and middle school students the opportunity to serve in a model government process at the local, state, national, and international levels. The Youth and Government program was established in 1936 in New York by Clement “Pete” Duran, then the Boys Work Secretary of the Albany YMCA. As of 2010, the program currently operates in 37 states and the District of Columbia, serving nearly 60,000 middle and high school students around the country. The motto of the program is “Democracy must be learned by each generation.”

Our home away from home. Trying to get creative by including the reflection of the sign in the photo.
