Photo Shoot in Door County, WI
Posted on June 14, 2009
Bruce and I drove up to Door County, WI with our friends, Greg and Lori Marx, to take part in the Lighthouse Walk. This is the one weekend in the year when all the lighthouses on this peninsula are open to the public. Yesterday was gorgeous-mid 60's, not a cloud in the sky, cool breeze coming in from the water. We were able to climb up the Cana Island Light-102 steps up and then an awesome view from all sides. We did a bit of shopping, had great root beer floats sitting at an outside cafe, and laughed a lot. What fun!
BUT Bruce was really excited about the chance to spend an entire weekend taking photos with his Canon 5D Mark2 camera. He was the happiest I've seen in quite a while-even when we were teasing him that there was a photo opportunity every time we saw even a dandelion. The photos are looking better with every shot and the video that is possible with this camera (in HD-of course!) is also sweet. Two more locations to see today-one in Peninsula State Park.
It's been fun-we'll post some photos when we get back home.
