Bluray copy now part of all our packages
Posted on January 26, 2010
Great news to share. We have decided to include 1 blu-ray disc with each and every package at no extra charge. We feel this is a great way for couples to see their wedding video in the best possible quality. Although normal dvd videos are very high quality, you will be amazed at the difference blu-ray will make. Everything is just crisper and cleaner looking. If you have ever gotten your eyes checked and upped the prescription on your glasses, that is what blu-ray is like.

Finishing up another great wedding

Well time to get to work this morning. Just about finished editing Kendall and James wedding. Seems like this one is taking forever, but it is really shaping up nicely.

Shopko Hall Bridal Show 2010
Posted on January 23, 2010
Another great Bridal Show at Shopko Hall in Green Bay, WI. We had a brand new look to our booth this year, thanks to Monroe Studios in Neenah, WI. Traffic was not as heavy, but we had many very interested brides and grooms and everyone was interested in bluray.

New Year, new editing program, new camera and Blu-ray
Posted on January 22, 2009
2009 is here already. We are all caught up on our wedding videos. Our first Wedding show was a couple of weeks ago and we talked to many brides and grooms. An addition to our booth this year was the un-veiling of a 24 X 36 inch wedding movie poster.
We are going to be offering these as an add on, so make sure you check with us.
We are excited about a camera that arrived just in time for Christmas. It is a Canon 5D, Mark II and along with being a very high end still camera, has the ability to shoot full HD video. We feel the future is going to be exciting for video as well as photography. At some point, we believe that the 2 will merge and more companies will be offering photography along with video. Time will tell, but we are trying to stay on top of everything. I have also been learning new software to edit video with. I have been using Final Cut Pro from Apple for the past 6 years and have decided to learn a different program that appears to be a bit more robust. We are also looking forward to Blu-ray video to really take off this year. We had many more people asking about HD and Blu-ray at the wedding show this year. The quality is amazing.
A New Year!

Welcome to 2009. The latest posts begin right after the first video clips. We are looking forward to another busy and exciting year of creating memories forever through video. Please take a few minutes and watch the video below this post. We were lucky enough to have one of our recent brides, Julie, sit down and talk about why she thought video was important for her very special day. Also, we have a website packed full of information on what we do. Please feel free to check it out.

Well I have been working hard this week on the Sportsman wedding. I am hoping to have it complete by early next week and sent out by the end of the week. Great footage and even greater music.

New cameras
Posted on June 26, 2008
Exciting news for My Memories Forever. We have decided to buy 2 more of the HD Sony cameras and sell off all of our old equipment. This is wonderful news for anyone that has already booked our company for they’re wedding, as these cameras deliver superior quality over our old cameras. They are bigger and heavier, but an absolute joy to use.
Sarah and Matt

Sarah and Matt had an absolutely perfect day for an outdoor wedding. It was held at the Paine Art Center in Oshkosh, Wi on June 21, 2008. One of our favorite venues to have an outdoor wedding. The ceremony was beautiful. The highlight was a butterfly release before the recessional. Butterflies everywhere as Sarah and Matt came down the aisle. We captured some beautiful footage. I went back to the Paine a couple of days later and recorded even more footage of the property. I think I could spend all day there just getting video shots. We should be editing this one towards the middle of July, if not sooner. Check this blog often for my updates.

June 14, 2008. What a beautiful wedding this was. Some of the best music we have ever heard. A string quartet that was awesome, beautiful weather and wonderful people were the recipe for this perfect wedding day. We captured some great footage and great audio. I am looking forward to beginning the editing on the wedding, which should begin on June 30, if not a little sooner. Keep an eye on my progress reports on this blog.

Catching our Breath!
Posted on February 25, 2008
This is the time of year when we are all caught up with our editing and Bruce looks back at the year and gets all caught up on paperwork and clean-up stuff! It’s a wonderful time of year for playing with the equipment and trying to perfect all those new techniques we picked up at conferences last year. During the height of the wedding season(seems like the season is extending itself every year!) we stay pretty focused on the job at hand-capturing great memories. But February and March are months when we usually don’t do too many weddings so it’s time to PLAY with the equipment and filters, and features, and all the stuff that is just too "new" during a wedding.
Stay tuned-we’re getting ready for 2008!
Editing going well!

Bruce is back hard at work on our January wedding video. Using a few new ideas he picked up at the Videography Convention we just attended, he is making great progress. There have been 2 teasers posted for the newlyweds to preview and their response has been wonderful. We’ve really been thrilled with the use of the blog by this couple as they have shared the teasers with other members of their family. It’s a great way for a family to see where we are in the editing process AND for us to get reactions along the way.
Creating a video is really a blend of different skills-the marriage of good equipment, a good sense of timing and what is important to the couple, and the ability to blend multiple camera shots into a cohesive telling of a story about a very important day. Looks like we are making that blend work again-that’s exciting for everyone!
